争いをなくすために考え出された多数決のために、民主主義は永遠に人数集めの争いを続けるほかない。そこでもし争いが皆無の社会というユートピアを描くとどうなるだろうか。すべてが全員一致で採決される全体主義に行き着いてしまう。争いをなくすために争いの肥大化、恒常化が必要だったように、テクノロジーにはその欠陥を発見し、それを埋める新たなテクノロジーが不幸を拡大しながら要請されつづける。
