昔の風習の間引きや赤子殺しは現代では非常に洗練された方法で大々的に実施されているのに、どうして姥捨て山の方だけは廃止されてしまったのでしょうか。 それどころか老人の権利は最近ますます強くなり、今では国のきちょうな資源をどんどん食い尽くして、さらにそれでも足りないといわんばかりにさまざまな政策が実行されています。

藤原正彦の国家の品格がベストセラーになっとき、このままでは国がもたないから、昔の日本の農村で若者を助けるために自分から姥捨て山に行った品格のある老人の話でも書いてあるのかと思ったら、さらに若者を虐げて、大きな既得権益を手にした自分たちのような老人をもっと尊敬しろというような内容だったので、思わず顔をしかめました。
